Dr. Kate Lee
Dr. Kate Lee was born and raised here in Petal, MS. You may recognize her from working at Panther Pet with her Aunt Christine (Dr. Gibson) before vet school as a receptionist/technician, where she discovered her passion for working with and caring for animals.
Dr. Kate earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Southern Mississippi, then went on to Mississippi State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Her favorite thing about being a veterinarian is the owners' joy when their previously sick, debilitated pet is finally feeling better and back to themselves. She also enjoys surgery and emergency medicine.
Dr. Kate’s husband is also a vet- Dr. Brett Lee, who is a mixed-animal veterinarian at Purvis Animal Clinic. They have two dogs - Millie and Mac, and two cats - Louis and Pudge.
If Dr. Kate had to pick words to live by, they would be "Don't take yourself too seriously," and "HAIL STATE!!"
